Dear friends, I feel great anticipation while writing this article – finally the suspense is over and I can share all the information and details for the first Nitiknitti (hand knitting) retreat share with you!
Many members of our Instagram community are eagerly waiting for me to "lift the lid" and share the location and supporting program with you so you can contact the hotel right away to be there. So, let's get started!
Very important: You are not booking with us; your participation is only binding once you have booked a room and the hotel has confirmed your stay. We do not allocate seats or sell tickets for this event.
Participation is only possible with a room reservation. The hotel manages the room quota, and I will only find out who will be there after the booking is confirmed.
We will spend an early summer weekend in the beautiful Country Hotel Voshövel in NRW on the Lower Rhine. A family-run 4-star superior hotel that combines tradition and modernity, placing great emphasis on down-to-earth enjoyment and regional Kitchen and with her award-winning Living Room SPA 4,000m2 offers plenty of space to relax.
Not only my Nitiknitti team and I will be welcoming you on Friday afternoon, I am particularly pleased that Tanja Koenigs – well known to many of you from Instagram with her profile LOTILDA – will also be there!
LOTILDA stands for minimalist and timeless chunky knit mohair cardigans and sweaters. In addition to some of the styles from her current collection, knitted from the wonderful Majo fabrics—which you can purchase directly from Nitiknitti—Tanja brings her wealth of knowledge and is available to offer advice and support on all aspects of knitting with mohair. Birgit George ( Instagram birgit.strickt) and Sabine Beninca (Instagram: sabinebeninca ) will also be joining us. Many of you will also know Birgit and Sabine, as they have been with me almost since the beginning at Nitiknitti – whether by knitting new patterns for us, working as tandem knitters for others, or simply giving me great input and tips.
And another great woman from our community will be there, whom I would like to briefly introduce to you:
Melanie Achilles is just as passionate about knitting as we are and has been committed to yoga for almost 10 years. She has Small yoga studio fulfilled a dream and will gently guide us into the day with a relaxing yoga session on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Please bring your own mat (the house also has some available for us).

Friday 23 May :
Individual arrival until 3:00 PM (rooms are available at that time)
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: We move into the Ernst-August-Hütte. The rustic hut is at our disposal the entire time; we can store our belongings there and meet up again and again.

7:00 PM Dinner together
Saturday 24 May :
7:30 a.m. Gentle start to the day; yoga with Melanie (if you like)
Individual breakfast time
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Knitting at the Ernst-August-Hütte . Our motto this weekend: Everyone as they like . That means we don't want to follow a rigid program, but we will inform you the evening before. most important topics and wishes and discuss them point by point. Tanja, LOTILDA will have her current models with her, which you can ask her about. Yarn and patterns are also available on site. shopping .
To do this, we're clearing out our little room and packing as much as we can into the Nitiknitti mobile (Help! We need a trailer!!)
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Light Lunch in the garden restaurant
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Those who like can go back to the cabin – there, weather permitting, we also have access to the outdoor area with lounge furniture. Anyone who wants to explore the house or the area, or prefers a nap, can do so, and we'll meet up again afterwards.
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the Ernst-August-Hütte Tanya, LOTILDA She explains the details of her designs and shares knitting know-how with Birgit and Sabine. Coffee, tea, water, cake, and nuts are included.

Sunday 25 May :

Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Use of the Livingroom SPA is possible until 3:00 p.m. on the day of departure.
Cancellation policy:
Cancellation of the reservation is possible free of charge 14 days before arrival.
In case of later cancellation, 90% of the overnight price will be charged.
Room bookings are handled exclusively through Hotel Voshövel.
