Tandem Knitting – Together, Something Beautiful Emerges
Anyone following our Instagram account is familiar with the messages we regularly receive: "I would love to have this sweater – but unfortunately, I can't knit." Or: "This design is beautiful, but far too difficult for me as a beginner."
These messages deeply moved us. Because the desire to own something handmade, special, and truly personal is so understandable – and at the same time, there are so many enthusiastic knitters out there who would love to share their skills and time.
This led to an idea we are truly proud of: the concept of Tandem Knitters.
How does tandem knitting work?
You choose the yarn that makes your heart beat faster from the Nitiknitti shop. You buy it, provide a different delivery address when ordering – namely that of your tandem knitter – and the yarn travels directly to her. From your dream yarn, the piece you desired is created in her hands.
You arrange the fee directly and independently with your knitter. We deliberately do not interfere – this is an agreement between you, on an equal footing. However, as a rough guide, we recommend:
- Accessories such as hats and small scarves €50
- larger shawls: up to €100
- Sweaters or cardigans: approx. €150, depending on the model and effort
Remember: handmade is heartfelt work. Fair pay for a knitter who works for you for hours is a beautiful form of appreciation.
Tandem knitting is more than a service. It is a small community of women who are there for each other – one with the desire, the other with the skill. And in between: beautiful yarn embarking on a journey.
