The Alice Top is worked from the bottom up. The body is worked in the round in stockinette stitch, then divided into front and back; each piece is finished separately in rows using stockinette stitch. The back is worked in one piece, while the V-neck is formed on the front. The pattern also includes instructions for working the top from the center out using the provisional cast-on, allowing the length to be adjusted to your liking. Make a gauge swatch to determine your correct needle size. Wash the swatch, as the recommended yarn will expand with washing and wear.
