Cardi "Macchiato" by knitsi_fritzi - Knitting kit

The Cardi Macchiato, based on a pattern by our dear knitting friend Heike (aka knitsi_fritzi on Instagram) , is a short, oversized cardigan with decorative balloon sleeves and a harmonious color gradient. It is knitted seamlessly from the bottom up using four colors (4-ply) of Pearl Mohair yarn with size 9 needles. The front and back pieces are joined using the 3-needle bind-off method.
The resulting seam gives the knitted piece stability.

For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armhole and knitted in the round without decreases. The decorative balloon sleeve is formed by the tight cuff in the slipped stitch pattern.

For the facing, stitches are made along the front and back pieces using NS 8.
It was picked up and knitted in a slip stitch pattern with a color gradient.

Material: 15x Pearl Mohair, 4-ply, in 4 colors

Circular knitting needles: size 8 and 9, cable length 80–100 cm,
Cable length 40-50 cm with short needles in sizes 9 and 8 or
Double-pointed needles for sleeves, stitch markers, yarn needle
for sewing, scissors

Colour 4: Mist – 2-3* balls (we pack 3 in the package)
(*if the sleeves or body are knitted longer)

Brown: 3 x Oatmeal - 4x each Almond / Vanilla / Tiramisu

Green: 3x Limeade - 4x Moss / Olive / Pistacchio each
