The Celeste Sweater is worked top-down with a round yoke. First, the neckline is worked, then the round yoke is worked in a pattern using five different colors, following the chart. After the pattern part of the yoke, short rows are worked to raise the back and give the sweater a great fit. The body and sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch in the round, with ribbed cuffs.
Note that when knitting with a pattern (Fair Isle), you often need to use a needle size 0.5-1 mm larger than when knitting in a single color. Therefore, make a gauge swatch of both a single color and a multi-color swatch before you begin the actual knitting.
The pattern includes both charts with the colors of the brown Celeste Sweater and undyed charts that can be colored as desired.
Size guide
The Celeste Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approximately 15 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) fit a chest measurement of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the front page. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest measurement (or the widest part of your body) measures 85 cm, you should choose size XS. A sweater in size XS has a chest circumference of 100 cm and in this case would have a range of motion (positive ease) of 15 cm.
