"Cerise Bag" Crochet Pattern by Anja Müller/ Inselprinzessin

This guide explains how to crochet the beautiful "Cerise Bag" and, if desired, line it with a nice lining fabric including a zippered inner pocket or refine it in another way with the leather set from OS Design.

You can adjust the size of the bag yourself according to the explanations. The material specifications for the yarn refer to the size of the "Cerise Bag" shown here.

The sewing instructions for the lining are described in words and are easy to adapt to your own bag size.

A little sewing experience is certainly an advantage.

However, the practical bag can also be used perfectly without any lining. It stands on its own and does not necessarily need to be lined.

Addition by Anita: "I implemented Anja's instructions exactly as written and made the base from one ball of yarn (I didn't count the stitches). Then I crocheted in rounds until I only had about 1/3 of the sixth/last ball of yarn left (approx. 34-35cm high). At that point, I divided my stitches so that 13 holes were evenly distributed. For the holes, you crochet 2 chain stitches, then skip two single crochets on the body and insert the hook into the third stitch for the next single crochet. In the next round, you crochet single crochets onto the chain stitches. Crochet until the yarn runs out, weave in the ends, and untie the knots of the drawstring; remove the stopper from the drawstring. Then thread the leather drawstring through the holes. Both the beginning and the end of the leather strap go into the first hole. Put the stopper back on; tie a knot at both ends of the leather strap. I crocheted with a 3mm hook. It works just as well with this 3.5mm hook
