The Dagmar Sweater is worked in a textured pattern from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is worked with increases. Then, the shoulders are created by picking up stitches from the top of the back. The body is knitted in the round on a circular needle. Stitches are picked up around the armholes for the sleeves, which are then worked in the round downwards. Finally, a ribbing is added to the neckline.

First, knit a swatch to determine the correct needle size for you. Feel free to follow the diagram in the pattern for your swatch.

Size Guide

The Dagmar Sweater is designed to have approximately 26 cm of positive ease in the smaller sizes, with gradually less positive ease in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the front page. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S, as it has a bust circumference of 116 cm, resulting in 26 cm of positive ease in this example. A size chart can be found here.
