The Fortune Sweater is worked top-down with raglan increases, and the sleeves are ¾ length. The sweater is worked in stockinette stitch with a cloverleaf pattern. The neck ribbing is worked first, folded over, and then knit together. Afterward, the neckline is shaped with short rows at the front. Simultaneously with the short rows and raglan increases, the cloverleaf pattern is incorporated – please pay careful attention to ensure the cloverleaf pattern is placed correctly, so it is symmetrical and aligns properly under the armholes. Please read the entire yoke section before you begin knitting.

Size guide

The Fortune Sweater should have a positive ease of approximately 15-25 cm relative to your bust circumference. Measure your bust circumference with a tape measure before you start knitting. Add 15-25 cm to this measurement (depending on how loose-fitting you prefer your Fortune Sweater) and knit the size that is closest to the result. Example: Your bust circumference is 95 cm. Add 15-25 cm to this measurement, which gives you 110-120 cm. (95 cm bust circumference + 15-25 cm positive ease = 110-120 cm. Size M with a bust circumference of 114 cm falls within this range).
