The Hazel Sweater is worked top-down in rib. First, the back is worked with increases. Then, the shoulders are knitted and formed with decreases. The shoulders are gathered to form the front, after which the front and back are placed on one needle to form the body. The body is first worked in the round, then split into front and back, creating long slits at the sides. The slits start at about the same height as the iliac crest. The sleeves are formed with short rows before being worked in the round in rib. Finally, the turtleneck is worked in rib.
The pattern also includes a description for a short model without slits on the sides (however, the yarn consumption is given for the long version with slits).

Size guide

The Hazel Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approximately 16-24 in relation to your chest measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are suitable for a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to find the size that fits you best. If your chest measurement (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, for example, you should choose size S. A sweater in size S has a chest circumference of 108 cm and in this case would have a range of motion ( positive ease ) of 18 cm.
