The Ivy Top is worked from the top down. The top is constructed so that the shoulder increases and short rows are made first, before the front and back are worked separately in rows. The front and back are then joined to form the body, which is knitted in the round on circular needles.

First, knit a gauge swatch to determine the right needle size for you. Wash the gauge swatch, as the recommended yarn may expand with washing and wear.

Size guide

The Ivy Top should have a negative ease of approximately -6 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) fit a chest measurement of 75-80 (80 85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140 150) cm. The measurements of the finished top can be found on the front page (note that these measurements are only correct if the gauge is adhered to). Measure yourself before you start knitting to find the size that fits you best. If your chest (or widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose a size S. A size S top is suitable for a chest measurement of 75-80 (80 85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140 150) cm. Size S has a chest circumference of 84 cm and, in the example, would have a negative ease of 6 cm. The size chart can be found here .
