The Jenny Sweater is worked from the bottom up in a smocking pattern with raglan increases. The body and sleeves are knitted separately before being placed on circular needles for the yoke. The neckline is worked in rows on the needle and formed while simultaneously casting off stitches. Finally, the neckband is knitted from the cast-on stitches.

First, make a gauge swatch to determine the right needle size for you.

Size guide

The Jenny Sweater should have a positive ease of approximately 19 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) fit a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the first page. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest measurement (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S. A size S sweater has a chest measurement of 109 cm and in this case would have a positive ease of 19 cm. If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size as the smocking pattern will stretch a little when worn.
