In contrast to the pouches, you can either crochet four separate pieces and connect them to the base at the end, or you can directly crochet four individual pieces—two narrow sides and two wide pieces for the front and back—to the base, and then finally connect them into a rectangular bag with four side seams of single crochet stitches.
