The Jenny Jacket is knitted from the bottom up in a smock stitch. The body and sleeves are worked separately before all the pieces are gathered onto circular needles and the yoke is worked. The yoke is worked with short rows at the top, so the neckline is higher at the back. The body is worked in rows, while the sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or using the magic loop method. Finally, stitches are cast on along the front edges for the button plackets, followed by the neckline.
Size guide
The Jenny jacket should have a positive ease of approximately 12-15 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) fit a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-105 (105-115) 115-125 (125-135) cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan can be found on the front. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest measurement (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S. A size S cardigan has a chest measurement of 102 cm and in this case would have a positive ease of 12 cm. If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size as the smocking pattern will stretch a little when worn.
