The Moby Slipover is worked top-down in a textured and cable pattern. First, the back is worked. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are then joined at the front to form the front piece. The front and back pieces are placed on one needle below the armholes, forming the body, which is then worked straight down. Finally, edgings are worked in ribbing around the armholes and neckline.
First, knit a swatch to determine which needle size you need for the correct gauge—this can vary from yarn to yarn. Remember to wash your swatch before measuring, as the textured pattern can grow in the wash.
Size Guide
The Moby Slipover is designed to have approximately 10-15 cm of positive ease compared to your bust circumference. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust circumference on the body of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished slipover can be found on the front page of the pattern. Take your own measurements before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your bust circumference (or the widest point on your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S. A slipover in size S has a bust circumference of 102 cm and would have a positive ease of 12 cm in this case.
