The Poppy Tee is worked from the top down. First, the upper back is worked with increases. Then the shoulders are made from picked up stitches on the upper back. Stitches are picked up along the shoulders and the rest of the yoke is knitted together on circular needles, first in rows, then in the round. The body is worked in the round on circular needles, and the sleeves are also worked in the round on double-pointed needles or using the magic loop method. Finally, a rib with double knit is knitted at the neckline and folded over. Knit a gauge swatch first to determine the correct needle size for you. Wash the swatch before measuring it. When knitting with the recommended yarn, bear in mind that it will grow slightly in the wash—so it is especially important to wash the swatch before measuring.
Size guide
The Poppy Tee should have a positive ease of movement of around 5 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished shirt can be found on the front page. Note: These measurements are only valid if the gauge is adhered to. Measure yourself first before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest measurement (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S. A shirt in size S has a chest circumference of 96 cm and in this case would have a range of motion (positive ease) of 6 cm.
