Saga Sweater - PetiteKnit Knitting Pattern - German

The Saga Sweater is worked in a textured pattern from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is worked with increases. Then, the shoulders are made from stitches picked up from the top of the back. The work is then joined in the round, picking up stitches for the sleeves. The remaining yoke is worked in the round with raglan increases. The body and sleeves are knitted in the round on a circular needle. Finally, a ribbed edge is worked at the neckline.

Size Guide

The Saga Sweater is designed to have approximately 20 cm (8 inches) of positive ease in the smaller sizes, with gradually less positive ease in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm [29½-31½ (31½-33½) 33½-35½ (35½-37½) 37½-39½ (39½-43¼) 43¼-47¼ (47¼-51¼) 51¼-55 (55-59) inches]. The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the first page. Measure yourself before you begin knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm [35½ inches], you should choose size S. A sweater in size S has a bust circumference of 110 cm [43¼ inches], and with the chosen example, the positive ease is 20 cm [8 inches]. A size chart can be found here.
