First, cast on sts for the neck, then increase in each side to form a European shoulder. The back is worked under the sleeves. Then, pick up sts on each shoulder for the right and left front pieces. Front pieces are worked under the sleeves with increases for a V-neck. Later, the chart is worked on both front pieces. The front pieces are worked together with the back before the work is finished with a rib. Pick up sts around each armhole for the sleeves, before picking up sts along both front pieces and the neck for the front band. Holes are made along both front bands for ribbons. If buttons are required instead of ribbons, holes are made along just one front band.
