The Stockholm Sweater is knitted from top to bottom in stockinette stitch with a double strand of silk/mohair. First, the upper part of the back is knitted, after which the stitches are picked up for the shoulders along the cast-on edge at the back. The shoulders are knitted separately using short rows to create a gusset. The front and back are gathered under the arm and continued in the round on circular needles. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armholes, which are then knitted in the round using double-pointed needles or the magic loop method. Finally, the stitches are picked up along the neckline, where a cuff is knitted, folded over to the wrong side and sewn there. The Stockholm Sweater does not need to be sewn, except for the turned-up neckline.
First, make a gauge swatch to determine the correct needle size.
Size Guide
The Stockholm Sweater should have a positive ease of approximately 15 cm in relation to your chest measurement. The cut is oversized. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL fit a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are on the front. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your chest measurement (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S. A size S sweater has a chest measurement of 105 cm and in this case would have a positive ease of 15 cm.
