The Sunday Cardigan is knitted top-down with 1 strand of Inca Wool and 2 strands of Silk Mohair. The yoke is worked in a rib pattern with increases back and forth, while the button plackets are worked simultaneously. The body and sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch and both finish with a wide ribbed hem. The sleeves of the Sunday Cardigan are extra long. The neckline is folded inside out and sewn there. The buttonholes are worked last (i.e., they are not knitted during the knitting process) by sewing around the button placket with the buttonhole stitch.
Note: Before you start knitting, you should first knit a gauge swatch to determine the correct needle size needed to achieve 12 stitches per 10 cm. If you knit tighter, you may need an 8 mm needle. If you don't follow the gauge, the appearance of the cardigan will change dramatically.
Size Guide
The Sunday Cardigan should have a positive ease of 8-12 cm relative to your chest circumference. Sizes XS (S), M (L), and XL fit a chest circumference of approximately 85 (90), 95 (100), and 110 cm. Measure yourself before you start knitting to make sure you've chosen the correct size. For example, if your chest circumference is 90 cm, you should choose size S.
