This lightweight, voluminous cashmere yarn boasts a fabulously even knit, is super soft, and a dream to work with. The fine material is obtained from the undercoat of the cashmere goat. The polyamide content is needed for fluffiness and elasticity.
25g / 85 lfm 88% cashmere / 12% polyamide
Needle 5.5-6mm Gauge: 20 stitches x 31 rows make 10x10cm
We also recommend 7mm and 8mm needle sizes for this stretchy yarn, and we've achieved excellent results with them. Cashmere AIR has a very wide range of possible uses.
If you'd like to use one of our matching patterns, check out the "Nitis Short Sleeve Cashmere" pattern. You'll need the following quantities: S / 11 M / 12 L / 14 balls of AIR. Anita is wearing the gray sweater in the "Flannel" colorway in size S and the striped sweater in size M (8 ecru and 3 sky blue).
The triangular shawl was knitted with 8 balls of Royal on an 8mm needle. Only knit stitches in back and forth rows with increases in every first stitch at the beginning of the row (twisted stitch). If you want to crochet a scalloped edge to the triangular shawl, use a slightly smaller crochet hook (size 6) and crochet around the shawl as follows: always work two single crochet stitches and the third stitch as a mouse tooth. To do this, first work a single crochet stitch, then 3 chain stitches, and then crochet into the single crochet stitch again.
Use wool detergent (just a small amount), on its own and not in a bag, in the machine on the WOOL cycle or by hand and very important: wash COLD.
