"Gapeidl" - leather utensil holder for knitting supplies

What is a Gapeidl?

My dream destination is Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and that's where our Gapeidl comes from. The word GAPEIDL is derived from the license plate number GAP for Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the short form of "Goidbeidl" (High German for "wallet"). The whole idea was conceived by our cooperation partner Florian Wöretshofer.

When the idea arose in our team (initiated by Birgit ) that we needed a small, high-quality leather tool case for our knitting necessities, Florian came to mind...and since my husband has been using one as a "goody bag" for months, it was a good idea! We quickly ordered some Nitiknitit Gapeidls and equipped them with the following items: a measuring tape, small stork scissors in gold or silver, 5 stitch markers, 2 wool needles for securing, and 2 needle tip protectors/stoppers.

A pretty and useful leather accessory that no project bag should be without!

The delivery also includes a small pot of leather cream that you can rub into your Gapeidl to make it nice and supple and to make it more beautiful over time as it develops a patina.
